Job Description:

The Interaction Design & Art Technician is responsible for the Interaction Design & Art (IxDA) equipment and labs. The Technician provides technical support for the department and provides a safe clean environment with skilled and informed instruction for the undergraduates. The position is part-time, works 20 hours a week during the academic year and reports directly to the Chair of IxDA and the Dean Academic Services.

Duties include:

  • Technical support for IxDA students
  • Oversee electronics and IxDA lab
  • Compile student resources
  • Research equipment acquisitions
  • Perform other related duties as assigned

Requirements:

  • Ability to work with students
  • Knowledge of MAC environment
  • Knowledge of Arduino, physical computing
  • Good organizational skills and attention to detail
  • Successful Candidate will be required to complete a full background check

Valued but not required:

  • Knowledge of emerging technologies
  • Teaching experience
  • XHTML,CSS, actionscript
  • Video editing


Additional Information:
Salary: $15.00 per hour.
